4 Stars weird flavor, good effects
If you can get past the oddly sweet flavor and the powder texture that prevents it from dissolving in anything (it’s a bit like flour), then I think that this product gives good results. I have been adding it to my smoothies, cereal (with soy ‘milk’ vanilla flavor), vanilla yogurt, and occasionally cookies (it’s really fabulous in apple-oatmeal cookies) since June. I notice a difference in energy between days that I do and don’t use it. Of course they also claim that it’s good for hormones, skin, etc, but these things are a bit harder to know for sure. I generally feel great though whenever I start my day with this stuff. Add it to milky substances, especially those that are of vanilla flavor, and experiment with baking. Just don’t try to eat a spoonful. It just sticks like glue to the roof of your mouth…yuk!

Tastes fine, i didn’t really notice any difference when taking it but i’m sure it is probably healthy. I don’t notice a difference when i take a multivitamin.

Until I realized that the flavor is like unsweetened butterscotch, it was quite off-putting. That said, it still isn’t anything to cheer about, but I’ve tried mixing it with a few things and the best way I’ve found to take it is a rounded (not heaping) spoonful in about ~6oz of orange juice (albeit it doesn’t mix as well as I’d like). I imagine that any citrus beverage would work well.
The single most important thing I’ve learned about this stuff while trying it (and I’m talking to you, one-star reviewers) is that if it tastes too strong mixed with something, *use less*. I’ve also read that if you let it sit in a beverage too long, the flavor will get much stronger.
I don’t notice any improvement in energy until I hop on my bike during my commute home from work. I’m much more zippy on days that I take this than days I don’t.
The -1 star is mostly for the packaging. Went to close the zip-lock top one day only to discover the zip-lock had separated from the bag when I opened it. I ended up putting the remainder in a cleaned out coffee creamer container.
5 Stars Fresh dried Mulberries
I couldn’t get the brand I normally do, so buying these was a concession. However I am so pleased with their mulberries. Although dried, you can tell they are fresh. A lot of flavor. I won’t go back to the other brand I was using.

I’ve tried to mix it with lots of yogurt and and chrushed blueberries. It tastes TERRIBLE. Wish I could return it. I also tried it plain. The flavor is overpowering and not in a good way. Your going to really have to suck it up to get this stuff down.

4 Stars A better alternative for my entire family
For years I was buying the popular brand granola bar which is also sold here on Amazon. Quaker Chewy Granola Bar, Variety Pack, 10-Count Bars (Pack of 12) Always interested in finding something better and/or healthier I decided to try out CLIF Kid ZBaR’s.
On the afternoon that I opened them, I asked my family to give me their honest opinion about them. All of us immediately smelled maple when we tore them open, so it was no surprise to see Organic Maple Syrup in the list of ingredients. They are presented nicely with drizzled Organic Chocolate on top, which both of my kids of course noticed. Along with the maple these are sweetened with Organic Cane Juice and we all actually noticed the difference. It has a taste unlike corn syrup, which is used most of the time, but I liked it. The texture was soft and chewy and contained just the right amount of chocolate chips. I think the bar size was a nice plus too – a large 1.27 ounces compared to Quakers 0.84 bars.
Overall these were our thoughts on the CLIF Kid ZBaR’s:
*My son who is 17 said they were okay, but he was not sure about the sweetener – he felt it gave it an “off” taste. (UPDATE – Apparently the bars have grown on my son, because he is eating them just as much as we are now)
*My daughter who is 15 immediately liked them and had no complaints.
*My opinion was that I liked them much more than the Quaker for many reasons. Added protein, organic ingredients, natural sweeteners, large bars and they actually taste good!
4 Stars CLIF Kid ZBaR, Chocolate Chip
I found myself wasting time trying all different sorts of granola and energy bars. I then realized that some of the bars I was eating had WAY too many calories for an afternoon snack (sitting at my computer). Then I found these ZBars. The texture and flavor are spot on. I love the chunks of chocolate! The nutritional information is great too. I love them so much I’m now an Amazon product subscriber. I get a box of 36 each month (good price, good quality). Now I don’t have to go buy them at the store!

These granola bars taste great. I bought them for my picky 4 year old and the whole family loves them. They have good ingredients, although, they aren’t by any means a health food. They do satisfy a cookie craving pretty well.

I love the Clif ZBar. It is not only good, but also very filling.
The Clif bar is mostly organically made and does not have high fructose or trans fat. It is made with soy beans and whole grains and tastes deliciously great.
The bar is advertised as being a good snack for kids. But, it is great for adults while hiking, at work or just as a quick snack until your next meal. My favorite flavors are Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Brownie.

Very yummy treat. Great with coffee or tea. My son who lost 100 lbs in 6 months introduced this to me. Love them! Satisfies my sweet tooth and lasts with me longer than any other snack I have tried.

5 Stars Excellent protein bar with a great flavor
This is an excellent protein bar for after your workout. I work out in the morning so I use it as my breakfast. It sits in your stomach heavy (like a brownie) so it satisfies and it tastes great without much after taste. It’s definitly one of the best bars i’ve had and I’ve tried alot.

5 Stars A delight for the taste buds!
I’m not going to lie, I don’t have much knowledge on protein bars. I’ve only tried one other protein bar, Animal Snak… so I can’t give a real comparison to others. Despite that fact, I can still tell you how amazing I think these bars are, but first I’m gonna tell you what I thought of Animal Snak so I can tell you why I like Clif Builder’s bars better.
Animal Snak was my first and only other protein bar I’ve tried.
Taste-wise… they are “okay”. They didn’t really have that candy bar taste that people desire. I can’t really explain the taste, all I can say is that it was just okay. The problem is Animal Snak bars get tiring QUICK. I just couldn’t stand eating them anymore. The only upside I could give them now is that they have 30g of protein (10g more than Clif’s) and a lot of vitamins and nutrients.
Texture-wise… extremely chewy, and that’s all. Despite the words “Chocolate-Peanut Crunch” on the package… these bars have no crunch or crispness whatsoever. This too made eating them really dull after a while.
I wanted something different, I wanted CRUNCH!!! So I tried out Clif Builder’s bars. Oh my goodness these things were amazing. Not only did they have that crunch I desired and an amazing taste… but they have several different flavors so I wouldn’t get bored eating the same thing over and over. I’ve tried the Peanut Butter and Vanilla Almond. They both are great, and vanilla is good for a change away from chocolate all the time. I’m soon getting the Chocolate Mint which I’ve heard good things about as well. Now the only BAD thing I could think of if I wanted to be picky… is that if I try to eat a bar too fast, the crispness would rough up the top of my mouth just a little. Though that’s very minor and easy to avoid. So my pros and cons for Clif bars…
PROS: They have that crunch/crispiness that most people want in a protein bar. Several different flavors so you won’t get bored. They just plain taste AMAZING.
CONS: If I have to be picky, the crispiness would rough up the top of my mouth if I ate the bar too fast. Easily avoidable if you slow down to enjoy the bar and drink a glass of water with it… which is recommended anyways.
UPDATE, Dec 22: I’ve gone through about 1/2 a box of the Chocolate Mints. I was expecting a big minty flavor when I first tried… but was surprised that it was actually mild. At first I was a little let down cause it wasn’t a strong as I thought it would be. After another bar or two I found out that I actually really enjoyed that the mint didn’t overpower everything else. I definitely recommend this flavor. I will be trying the Cookies and Creme flavor next.

My husband has been using this product for over a year. He has two bars in the morning as breakfast. It provides the amount of protein he needs as well the energy boost he lacks.
As for me, I use a bar on the go. If I do not get a chance to have breakfast or lunch, I take a clif bar. It fills me up until the next meal. I must also say that the price on AMAZON is the best price for this item. I receive 2 packs of 12 on autoship every month.

1 Star Side Effects are not worth it to me…
Ok side effects mentioned on the box are like can cause a rash, dizzines, burning scalp, upset stomach, acne, headaches. It even mentioned causing a faster than usual heart beat and or chest pains which still didn’t stop me from using this product. With in a week of using this product I was experiencing cold sweats at night, extreme tiredness and sleepyness. At the same time I experienced some sexual disfunction to eventually full erectile disfunction. I gave my doctor a call and he told me that there is a very small 2 percent chance this can happen, which is why he never told me when he recomended I used Minoxidil for my hair loss. I immediately stopped using this product and guess what, cold sweats became less prominent and my manhood returned. So since I came here first to read the reviews which is why I bought this product it is only best I submit a review of my experience with this product. Please keep this in mind I wish I had read this before I used it.
5 Stars works but you have to stick to regimen
Minoxidil seems to work ok and in my case it appears to have worked everywhere I have tried it (as a test). I tried it around the the border of my face and ended up with pale peach fuzz on my temples bridging the area between my eyebrows and side burns.
But you must stick to a strict regimen – forgetting a day or so isn’t gonna make your hair drop but twice daily is the way to go. If the other sex can commit to “the pill” everyday, then we should be able to handle a few drops, massaging it in our scalps.

I have been using it for 6 month and I am happy with the results.
Pros:
- It works
- Affordable.
- It works even if I apply it only once a day. In the beginning I used to apply it twice a day but it was too much of a pain so it started using only once a day and it still works.
Negatives are:
- The long time it takes it to dry. It has a wet look for at least an hour but it looks much worse than when dry. At times I blow dried it to hasten it.
- I wish it was easier to apply. It flows down the head if I don’t smear well enough. I now use cotton sticks to smear it better.

I really cant give a rating on this product. Theres a man in a homeless shelter who’s either still bald, or has a healthy head of hair. I couldnt be bothered. I didnt need the scheduled application . I’d rather be a natural bald guy than one with “stuff” i have to use every day for rest of my life.

I have written that this product can be fake but I am sorry. After using it for 2 months my hair started to grow. The first thing I notice is tiny little hairs growing from my head. Sorry again from the dealer

Be careful to only get the fruit and veggie variety packs, not the dinner packs, as they have meat in them.

This food is phenomenal but WAY overpriced. I pay $7.99 a case in New York City and it is often on sale for less than $6 a case at BabiesRus in New York City. Grocery prices are obscene in NY so if I am paying less here, this is no deal.

Earth’s Best Baby Food
My favorite brand of baby food by far. Both my son (who is now over 2 years old) and my daughter (now almost one) have used a wide variety of foods from Earth’s Best. I am a huge proponent of feeding children primarily organic and/or locally grown foods to promote proper nutrition and growth. But I do not feel that all organic brands are equal. I’ve tried many varieties (including store brands and others only available through internet purchase) and found that Earth’s Best is by far the best for your money.
Fruit Variety Pack
Normally I would say this is a great idea, but I wasn’t a fan of this particular variety. My son would have been just fine with it, but unfortunately for us at this point my daughter is allergic to raspberries and mangos. These are both things I think she’ll grown out of, but something you may want to consider when purchasing this item. I would suggest trying an individual serving of one from your local store to see if your child has an allergy, but if they don’t I would say buy it! Other than that I do think it’s a great variety for kids who need some changing up occasionally. Also, the subscription price on this variety is great and can be altered depending on how soon you need it. We ended up running through another subscription we had and were able to have another shipped as soon as we needed it.

Given the great reviews for these, I took the chance and ordered some. I love sour fruit snacks and so do my three kids so I was excited to get these. As it turns out, they are way too sour for everyone. Even my son who loves sour candies wouldn’t eat these. If you’d prefer to have a more natural, real-fruit tasting snack then I’d look somewhere else.

These are alright, very sticky and chewy, a bit sour, way too sweet. My 9 year old guy is a candy junky, to the horror of his mother, but even with the awful sweetness of these things, he only ate the sour apple…said the other flavors sucked.
If you’re into paying a ton of money for sugar with a bit of fruit and tons of plastic packaging, both these and Stretch Island fruit leathers would fit your needs. Although, Stretch Island has more fruity flavor without the sickening sweetness.

This is for the variety pack. The good: it is all organic and contains no sugar, the taste is quite good. The ‘wish I knew this before’ and it is not mentioned in the product description online here, which I find misleading. The ingredients for ALL 4 flavors is the SAME: Organic Apple Puree, Organic Apple Juice concentrate, Organic Flavor, Pectin, (and coloring). I really thought that this was pure dried Mixed Berry, Strawberry, Tropical Fruit and yes, Sour Apple).But the ingredient list on the box shows it is all apple. I prefer the Fruit ‘Ends & Bits’ at Trader Joe’s

I would highly recommend these in place of fruit rolls ups or other gummy fruit snacks that are full of sugar. These are all fruit, no added sugar and have a strong, excellent, fruity-tarty taste. I like them as much as my granddaughter. Walmart used to carry them. I requested that they continue stocking them but have not had any luck. So I have to purchase them from Amazon.com. A bit expensive but delicious and healthy!

Our family loves these fruit ropes. They are very chewy and tasty, and because of the way they are wrapped, you don’t get your hands or mouth sticky eating them. The are a great snack for when you are on-the-go. The price on Amazon, with the free shipping, by far is the best price for these I have been able to get. 5 Stars gdiapers green is good for baby and the environment
I am on my 8th (yes, eighth) baby. My kids tend to have sensitive skin, and I have always ended up using Huggies. This is my first try using non-disposables. Even being a busy mom and business owner, I have not found Gdiapers to be inconvenient or overly time consuming. If put on correctly, they never leak. We change my daughter less frequently, yet her skin stays healthy. I take her shopping, to the movies, out to eat…and still find the Gdiapers easy to use. Plus, they are completely biodegradeable!
Amazon’s deal on a monthly order is fantastic- you basically get a package of refills for free. We are set up to get a case every month. It is delivered to our door and is eligible for free super saver shipping.
The initial investment is pricey, but seems well worth it. With the millions of diapers dumped into landfills everyday, I am glad I am no longer adding to the problem

I’ve used gDiapers for several kids. I am a foster parent, and any time I have foster kids – even if just for the weekend, babysitting for a friend – I use gDiapers. They are environmentally friendly, easy to use, comfortable for the kids, and helped my little ones potty train at a very young age. Since the inserts are disposable and/or flushable, they add hardly any laundry at all. I highly recommend gDiapers!

I have ordered a few cases of these and they are great! This last case was not as good as the others. They were not as absorbant and I had some break apart getting the clear gel beads all over my son (ugh, that’s what I hated about Huggies with my first (now 7). I’m going to order one more case to see if they are making them different now or if I just got a dud last time, then I’ll try gCloth.

This is the only formula my boy would tolerate. I love the fact that it is Organic. Other formulas would give him a lot of gas and therefore sleepless nights for me. This is a savior for sensitive tummies.

When we started shopping for formulas for our DD to supplement, we reviewed and researched all possible options out there. After a considerable review and research we decided that this is the best one we could find in the market for now.
There are several reasons why we picked this over the others..
- This is organic (so a lot friendly to the baby as well as the environment).
- Pesticide / Chemicals / Hormone Free
- This was very very close to breast milk and our DD did have any problems switching back and forth between breast milk and the formula.
- The bowl movements were regulated and resembled very close how it would look if she were only breast fed.

I ordered this product a while ago and my baby loved it. Half months ago, I subscribed this product then I got different problem with 2 cans of this product.
my baby got diarrhea after we started using the first can and the diarrhea stopped once we stopped using the first can.
The second can works better than the first one; however, I found a 1cm long, black color fiber in the second can. I really don’t know where this fiber comes from, but definately not from us…
I check the expiration date for these two cans: they are the same: March, 2011.
I went to Baby R US and bought anther can with the expiration date of July, 2012 (or 2011), this can works fine for us.
1 Star Toxic Hexane in Formula???
To be honest, I have never written a review, not matter how good or bad a product I received was. I never had the time and never bothered. Today, I write my very first review of a product that I have been feeding my precious son since birth. He is now 2 years 4 months. I could never breastfeed him exclusively due to bone density loss and I did massive amounts of research and tried out tons of different brands before deciding on this organic formula from Earth’s Best and since then, even though he is now a toddler, I still use the Earth’s Best infant formula and supplement with other child vitamins.
I was trying to re-order again in bulk from Amazon when I noticed for the first time the controversy over DHA/ARA extraction by the use of toxic hexane of which Hain Celestial which manufactures Earth’s Best is guilty of. To understand my utter complete fury, you must know that I live in Singapore and I quite literally pay international shipping for every can of this formula (and wade through customs declarations, tests and tax levies) to bring this milk to my son. In Singapore, this can of milk is also available but in highly limited quantities and even more princely prices (yes, even after the tax, customs and shipping, it still costs less than US$68 which is the going price per can here). Calls to Hain Celestial customer service drove me further up the wall when first, a lady said the hexane was only in trace amounts and less than what the FDA approved. Then, reaching another lady an hour later, the story was different. She said that the hexane solvent method was the only method approved by the FDA to extract the DHA/ARA from non-toxic algae and soil fungus. A third occasion and Hain’s customer service informed me that there should be no hexane detected in the product but on further probing admitted that she was not aware if the formula had undergone independent third party tests.
To me, this is crazy. The formula was marketed as a pure organic product and we pay premium prices (especially me!) for a premium product. To find that that they have taken such short cuts is completely unacceptable and the worst thing is that, it turns out that most of the other organic formula companies do this exact irresponsible thing and keep quiet about it. The only company that does not is Baby’s Only – it uses a water based process to extract their DHA/ARA from eggs(compare this to Hain’s claim that the hexane method is the only one approved by FDA and one wonders why Baby’s Only hasn’t been hauled up by the FDA yet). My son is going on that pronto once I can get a shipment to Singapore. Unfortunately, Baby’s Only is not available in Singapore (not even at princely prices) and my son is going to have to continue ingesting his Earth’s Best formula in the interim.

Feeding my baby formula wasn’t my first choice, but breastfeeding ended up not working out for me (wasn’t able to produce enough so I really didn’t have much choice). So I was glad to find an organic formula that was affordable! And using Amazon.com’s Subscribe and Save program makes it even more affordable. I get diapers and wipes for my son through that too and it does save me a lot of money. Anyhow, he loves the formula (the regular milk based one) and is thriving! I wish I could make his formula as I do his pureed baby food, but I guess this is the next best thing. And it makes me feel better knowing it’s organic and probably as close to nature as possible formula wise.

My kid isn’t a fussy eater by any means but he really LOVES this combinations. They aren’t bad tasting even to an adult! Great price and a great product!!!
5 Stars Fruits and Veggies Mixed Together – Great Taste
We like these because 1) they are organic and 2) they mix fruits and veggies together so baby gets the sweet taste of fruit (which he prefers) with the the extra health of veggies. The carrot tomato is the least popular in our household and the sweet potato apricot is the most popular. Our boy especially liked these when he was a bit younger – as he gets older, they seem to be a little too liquid-y for him. It would be nice if they made thicker purees. However, he still loves these and it is a great way for him to get his veggies. We love the subscribe and save so they just show up at the door and I am not always having to run to the store to get them.

5 Stars Great flavor combinations – baby loves them all!
First, since the photo is hard to see and the description doesn’t list the “flavors” included, they are:
* Apple Butternut Squash
* Banana Mango
* Carrot Tomato
* Sweet Potato Apricot
Even though my baby isn’t a picky eater and eats his veggies willingly, I loved the idea of combining fruit and vegetables. I figure the more flavors I can introduce him to now, the better–maybe I won’t end up with a picky toddler! My baby loved all the flavors, and I even ended up buying Earth’s Best 2nd Antioxidant Blend Carrot Tomato, 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12) because in addition to him liking that one a lot, it’s the only Stage 2 food I’ve found that has tomato in it.
I bought this variety pack countless times, and I highly recommend it to other moms.
5 Stars Best Baby Food by Far and a Great Variety
Earth’s Best Baby Food
My favorite brand of baby food by far. Both my son (who is now over 2 years old) and my daughter (now almost one) have used a wide variety of foods from Earth’s Best. I am a huge proponent of feeding children primarily organic and/or locally grown foods to promote proper nutrition and growth. But I do not feel that all organic brands are equal. I’ve tried many varieties (including store brands and others only available through internet purchase) and found that Earth’s Best is by far the best for your money.
Antioxidant Variety Pack
We’ve loved this variety so far. I never noticed it when my son was eating baby food, but now my daughter has one at least once a day. They tend to be a veggie heavy variety and my daughter would rather have veggies than fruit most days. The only one in the variety she can’t eat so far is the Banana Mango, because of an allergy to mangos, but I’m hoping to save those for a later date when she can tolerate it better.
The only thing I didn’t like about this product was that when I initially was deciding to purchase it I couldn’t find out what varieties were included in the pack. So for your information they are: Carrot Tomato, Sweet Potato Apricot, Apple Butternut Squash, and Banana Mango.
