2 Stars fair system, but not perfect
The first batch of alfalfa sprouts produced great. It does take rinsing at least twice a day. The next go, I used a mix of sprouts I got from a health food store. By the second day, the sprouts were starting to mildew. I threw that out and started over. By day two, again the sprouts were starting to mildew. I have low humidity in my house so I can’t figure the problem. Rinsing twice a day is all I can manage because I work away from home. I rinsed real good and left the sprouts uncovered. So far so good, but this system isn’t perfect, needs more supervision than I can offer it.

I purchased this set to learn and start sprouting, and I have been very happy with it. The instructions are very easy and understandable even for a novice. The set is easy to clean and maintain. I am happy with it, and have purchased another for myself for more trays and a set for a loved one.

1 Star Mildew sprouts
I bought this seed sprouting system because I love sprouts and had a different system many years ago. My seeds sprouted okay, but they kept mildewing! The watering system is terrible. If you don’t keep a constant eye on them, they either dry out or rot. The directions do say that they should be rinsed 2 times per day, but that is too much for me (I have a family and household to take care of). I’m throwing it out and trying to find my old sprouting system.

4 Stars Sprouting made easy
In my younger days I used to grow sprouts in between paper towels. I recently wanted to get back to doing my own sprouts, but really didnt want

to go the paper towel route again. I researched a few styles and purchased this sprouter. I am quite pleased with the ease. I agree with the first reviewer that the hulls will not come out with the lid on, but it isnt difficult to add water and gently swish the sprouts. The hulls will float to the top for you to discard. I have my second batch of sprouts under way. I like it and would recomend this product. (No chance of paper towels drying up while your at work, and no need to mess with cheesecloth).

I bought the sprouting jar with lid and the seeds. Both the jar and the seeds came with instructions on how to grow sprouts. One set of the instructions was vague, but the other set work well. The seeds sprout well and require little attention other than rinsing and draining a couple times a day. The instructions say that when the sprouts are ready you can fill the jar with water and the seed hulls will float out the lid – the openings in the lid are too small for this but I just put them in a bowl of water and they float to the top. Otherwise great product and it works well.
